For parents of Primary 5s · PSLE 2027

Next August, the oral should feel like the hundredth time — not the first.

华文 + English · PSLE 口试

PSLEPrep is the AI examiner your child can practise with at home — Reading Aloud and Conversation, in English and 华文. Every attempt is scored against PSLE-aligned criteria, with clear feedback showing what to improve before they try again.

Ten minutes, a few times a week. That’s how the confidence builds.

Your child speaks. PSLEPrep listens, scores, and shows what to improve.

How it works

Speak. Get scored. Know what to improve. Try again.

Step 1

Read aloud

Your child reads a PSLE-style passage into the mic. PSLEPrep listens to the actual audio.

Recording… 朗读 20 marks · EN Reading 15 marks

Step 2

Converse

A video (华文) or photograph (English) prompts a conversation. The follow-up questions respond to what your child actually said.

“Why do you think he looked embarrassed?”

AI examiner · 会话 30 marks · EN Conversation 25 marks

Step 3

See the scorecard

Every attempt is scored against the PSLE oral dimensions, with feedback in English and Chinese — then they try again.

Reading aloud · 朗读

16/20

One specific thing to fix, every time — not just “well done”.

What comes back

This is what your child sees after an answer.

Not a grade and a “good job” — the specific issue, in plain language, and what a stronger answer would add. That loop is the product: speak, get scored, know what to improve, try again.

It works from the audio itself, so it catches what a transcript can’t — a rushed syllable in English, a 声调 slip in Chinese.

Your child’s answer · 会话

“我帮他把书捡起来,然后告诉老师。”

What PSLEPrep found

  • The answer gives the action, but no reason and no example — the marks live in the explanation.
  • Reading aloud: middle sound rushed in re·cy·cling — pause after “re-” and keep the final syllable clear.

What a stronger answer adds · 模型答案

更完整:先说观点,再给原因,最后举个例子Built on your child’s own idea — never a script to memorise.

Why PSLEPrep

Speaking confidence is built in months, not weeks.

Both languages, one plan

One account covers English Reading Aloud, English Stimulus-Based Conversation, 华文朗读 and 华文会话 — one app, one dashboard, one bill.

It hears what transcripts miss

PSLEPrep analyses the audio itself, not merely a transcript — so it can pick up pronunciation, tone, fluency and expression issues that text-only tools can’t. In Chinese, tones change meaning.

The dress rehearsal is included

Two full timed mock exams every month — English, Chinese, or one of each — run under exam conditions, recorded, scored, and delivered as a report card.

Not sure what this year should look like? The P5 head-start guide maps the whole year — at-home habits that cost nothing, school oral exams, and when practice should step up.

I found the reading practice most helpful for my son — he gets feedback on what needs improvement. For conversations, he could then hear what a model answer sounds like. Thanks for creating this — it's highly recommended!
H.T. · P6 parent · 69 practice sessions
PSLEPrep empowered my child to self-study on her own. Good library of commonly tested topics. Amazed that the program has mimicked the real-life oral exam prompts from teachers.
Fiona L · P6 parent · 271 practice sessions
My child needs purposeful practice. Having feedback and a grade gives more motivation than speaking in front of a mirror by herself. The AI examiner doesn't get tired or impatient too!
J.M. · P6 parent · 62 practice sessions
It is truly a great tool for my child to practice oral, especially when I don't have time to sit with him. It gives him the necessary feedback and allows him to listen and make corrections to where he can improve.
A P6 parent · 364 practice sessions
Repeated practice gave my child more confidence — and my child was willing to practise as it felt more novel than practising with a parent.

How the scoring works

Acoustic speech analysis of the real audio, mapped to PSLE-aligned oral dimensions. It's practice guidance from an AI — not an official mark.

Your child's recordings

Recordings stay in your account and are used to generate feedback and progress history. You can delete the account — and everything in it — any time.

What you need

A browser and a microphone — computer, tablet, or phone. No app to install, no special equipment.

After the 10 free sessions

Nothing happens automatically. No card is taken for the trial, so there's nothing to cancel — subscribe only if it's helping.

Is P5 too early to start oral practice?View

It's the ideal time — the 2027 oral is about a year away. Short, regular speaking practice now builds the confidence that cramming can't. No drilling needed yet: ten minutes a few times a week is plenty.

Does one subscription cover both English and Chinese?View

Yes. Both PSLE oral papers — English Reading Aloud and Stimulus-Based Conversation, and 华文朗读 and 会话 — under one subscription, one login, one bill.

My child's Chinese is weak — is this too hard?View

This is exactly who it's built for. All content is calibrated to the PSLE oral standard, and every piece of feedback comes in both Chinese and English, so you can support them even if you don't speak Mandarin.

Do we need tuition as well?View

PSLEPrep works with or without tuition. Its job is the part children rarely get enough of: regular speaking practice with immediate feedback. If your child has tuition, it gives them structured practice between lessons. If they don't, they can use it independently at home.
